Answer
Abdominal: The region of the trunk below the chest above the pelvis
Abdomen
Tarsal: The junction of the leg and foot.
Ankle/ Tarsal
Brachial: The proximal part of the upper limb consisting of the humerus and surrounding muscles, facia (connective tissue), nerves and vessels.
Arm/ Brachium
Axillary: The hollow space at the base of the upper limb situated between the arm, chest wall and scapula.
Armpit/ Axilla
Digit 1 of the foot
Big Toe/Hallux
Buccal: Usually refers to the facial region over the maxilla and zygomatic bone but also extends to the lateral wall of the mouth,
Cheek
Thoracic: The part of the body bounded by the 12 ribs and sternum.
Chest/Thorax
Mental: The pointed inferior part of the mandible.
Chin
Otic: The external ear, pinna or auricle. Used for the external, middle and inner parts of the hearing apparatus.
Ear
Antecubital: The junction of the arm and forearm. The antecubital region is the depression (cubital fossa) anterior of the elbow bone.
Elbow
Ocular/ Orbital: The organ of sight. The eye and associated glands, muscles, vessels, and nerves lie within the bony orbital cavity.
Eye
Facial: The fron of the head. The facial skeleton is covered by facial muscles and highly sensitive skin.
Face
Digital/ Phalangeal: Digits of the hand. They have phalangeal bones as their core. (two bones in the thumb/ digit 1; three bones in digits 2-5.)
Fingers/ Digits
The terminal part of the lower limb. The foot consists of the tarsal, metatarsal and phalangeal bones, as well as associated muscles, tendons, ligaments, vessels and nerves.
Foot/Pes
Antebrachial: The part of the upper limb between the elbow and wrist.
Forearm/Antebrachium
Frontal: The part of the face over the frontal bones of the skull.
Forehead
Inguinal: The area at the junction of the lower limb and the anterior abdominal wall.
Groin/Inguen
The distal extremity of the upper limb. It consists of the metacarpal bones (palm), phalangeal bones (digits) and associated muscles, tendons, vessels and nerves.
Hand
The face and brain case. It contains major sensory organs, as well as the entrances to the respiratory and gastrointestinal tracts.
The job of the Head
Patellar: The prominence of the knee. It is produced by the patella, a sesamoid bone in the tendon of the quadriceps femoris muscle.
Kneecap/Patella
Crural: The part of the lower limb between the knee and the ankle.
Leg/Crus
Oral: The opening in the face bounded above by the hard and soft palate, below by the tongue and on each side by the cheek (buccal wall).
Mouth
Cervical: The part of the body that connects the head and trunk. At its core are the cervical vertebrae, which are surrounded by muscles, vessels and nerves.
Neck
Nasal: A protuberance on the face, formed from cartilage and bone, that houses the entrance to the nasal cavity.
Nose
Palmer: The proximal part of the hand, formed of the metacarpal bones and associated muscles, tendons, vessels and nerves.
Palm
Pelvic: Part of the skeleton formed by two hip bones on each side and the sacrum and coccyx in the midline.
Pelvis
Cranial: Consists of the facial skeleton and braincase (calvaria). It protects the brain.
Skull/Cranium
Femoral: The region of the proximal lower limb that has the femur at the core with the quadriceps femoris muscle anteriorly, and the hamstring and adductor muscles posteriorly and medially.
Thigh
Pollical: Digit one of the hand.
Thumb/ Pollex
Digital/Phalangeal: Digits 1-5 of the lower limb. They contain phalangeal bones.
Toes/ Digits
Comprises the thoracic, abdominopelvic cavities and their musculoskeletal walls.
Trunk/Torso
Umbilical: A puckered scar where the umbilical cord was attached during prenatal life.
Umbilicus
Carpal: Comprises the carpal bones and tendons transmitting muscle power from the forearm to the fingers.
Wrist
