Question
Answer
The action of stating something or exercising authority confidently and forcefully. Example: The assertion of his legal rights.
ASSERTION
(of an immoral or illegal act or omission) Intentional; deliberate. Example: Willful acts of damage.
WILLFUL
Information used to attack someone or to support an argument. Example: The president’s endorsement of the crime bill has deprived his opponents of ammunition to paint him as soft on crime.
AMMUNITION
In the custody of law.
CUSTODIA LEGIS
Serving as a sign or indication of something. Example: Having recurrent dreams is not necessarily indicative of any psychological problem.
INDICATIVE
(of something considered wrong or immoral) conspicuously or obviously offensive. / GARAPAL. Example: A flagrant violation of the law.

CURTAILMENT
Inciting or causing people to rebel against the authority of a state or monarch. / LABAG SA BAYAN. Example: The letter was declared seditious.
SEDITIOUS
Arrest (someone) for a crime. Example: A warrant was issued but he has not been apprehended.
APPREHEND
Anger or annoyance provoked by what is perceived as unfair treatment. / GALIT. Example: The letter filled Lucy with indignation. / Indignation war.
INDIGNATION
A reason given in justification of a course of action that is not the real reason. / PAGDADAHILAN. Example: The rebels had the perfect pretext for making their move.
PRETEXT
Clearly visible or understood; obvious. / MALIWANAG. Example: It became apparent that he was talented.
APPARENT
A group of people with somewhat different religious beliefs (typically regarded as heretical) from those of a larger group to which they belong.
SECT
Used to emphasize that a quality or fact, typically a bad one, is well known. Example: The company is notoriously difficult to contact.
NOTORIOUSLY
A principle or set of principles laid down by an authority as incontrovertibly true. Example: The rejection of political dogma.
DOGMA
