Suspicion, acute rapidly progressing or subacute or chronic Fever, chill, poor appetite (90%), murmurs (85%), Vascularand immunological phenomena TTE, TEE: repeat 7-10 days later if examinations negative or S aureus , echocardiography(vegetation, abscess, dehiscence and follow up) Blood cultures: three sets, peripheral vein, virtually all cultures positive
