How is cell membrane protein movement controlled?

Controlled by cytoskeleton components (connection between protein and cytoskeleton may be a cause for protein immobility) and also ECM basal lamina and membrane proteins themselves control their movement, it is restricted to one pole of polarized cells (presence of tight junctions limits the mobility)
