Irrational beliefs that otherwise neutral events have bearing on, or bear reference to the sufferer. All delusions, or fixed false beliefs, are at the core of paranoia. Delusional beliefs include delusions of grandeur, or extreme importance, persecution a false belief of being threatened or that others are seeking to harm the sufferer.
