- Bacillus cereus and B. anthracis: pathogens - some B. cereus are psychotrophic, can grow at fridge temps - B. coagulans and B. stearothermophilus: cause food spoilage in canned foods - B. subtilis: produce enzymes for food bioprocessing (ex. amylase for starch degradation)
