Question:

Why can the Latitude affect how much Atmospheric Pressure there is? What happens if your at: 1. Sea Level 2. Mount Everest

Author: eric_galvao

Answer:

-Because Pressure is affected with How Much Atmosphere is Above you. Lower Down = More Atmosphere. 1. At Sea Level then you Experience around 100,000 Pa, as because there's more 'Air' Above you, meaning more Weight that's Compressing the Air Below. And at Sea Level you have a lot of Air Above you. 2. Mount Everest is very High Up, meaning there is Less Air Above you, meaning less Weight that's Compressing the Air Below. Its around 33,000 Pa.
