- In PSI, during L.D.R, NADP acts as an electron acceptor, reduced, catalysed by dehydrogenase enzyme - Dye acts exactly like NADP but colour changes when get reduced - Rate of the dehydrogenase activity measured by the rate at which DCPIP loses its blue colour
