Question:

When is work done?

Author: Alana Ray

Answer:

Work done is done whenever a force used to move an object causes energy to be transferred. And work done is calculated using the equation, Work done (J) = Force (N) x Distance (m), where the distance must be in the line of action of the force. Although the unit newton-meter may be used instead of Joules and 1 newton-meter of work = 1 joule.
