A drug used in the treatment of epilepsy and bipolar disorder, has the propensity to cause skin rash. In some cases, this can lead to the potentially fatal Stevens-Johnson syndrome or toxic epidermal necrolysis. Skin rash, then, needs to be monitored closely in these patients.
