Question:

[DNA replication] Step 5:

Author: fahr dat

Answer:

Starting at the primers, DNA polymerase 3 III adds complimentary DNA nucleotides to each strand. DNA polymerase III constructs a new strand in 5' - 3' direction only. The other strand (lagging) is built discontinuously away from replication fork; it's made up of short pieces called okazaki fragments.
