It is a disorganized growth of benign-appearing cells, composed of tissue of the region within it is found. may be clonal/genetic translocation, heriditary syndromes associated (Tuberous sclerosis, cowden syndrome, PTEN hamatroma tumor, Peutz-Jegher syndrome...) Seen in lung, breast, polyps in GI. Pulmonary hamartoma (islands of disorgranized cartilage, bronchi and vessels but histologically normal)
