Congested tissues get cyanosis, comes up from buildup of deoxygenated Hb in affected area, long term chronic congestion, inadequate perfusion and hypoxia lead to parenchymal cell death and tissue fibrosis. In these conditions we may get high intravascular pressures, can cause edema or rupture capillaries producing focal hemorrhage.
