What did MAJ Roger Roberts do? (French and Indian War)

MAJ Robert Rogers recruited nine companies from among the continentals and identified them as Rangers. He published a list of 28 common sense rules, and a set of 19 standing orders which stressed operational readiness, security and tactics, some of which are applicable still today.
