GWOT History: why was B Co. 2/75 given the mission of OBJ Reindeer (11 June 2003)

Initially, this objective belonged to the 101st Airborne Division, but with reporting coming in of an imminent attack on coalition forces and the 101st’s need for more time to plan, V Corps handed the mission over to the Rangers, who planned and resourced the mission in less than 24 hours.
