What is fracking and how it is achieved

Hydraulic fracking involves blasting large amounts of water, sand and chemicals deep underground to extract oil and natural gas. To obtain these resources, a vertical hole, often 2-3km deep, is drilled to reach the fuel-rich rocks (shale rocks).
