What are therapeutic uses of thrombolytics?

Originally used for the treatment of DVT and serious PE, thrombolytic drugs are now being used less frequently for these conditions. Their tendency to cause bleeding has also limited their use in treating acute peripheral arterial thrombosis or MI.
