What is epididymo-orchitis?

Epididymitis = inflammation of the epididymis Orchitis = inflammation of the testis Very rarely isolated => viral (mumps, EBV) Usually spread from epididymis Inflammation might be chronic May be acute bacterial UTI/STD, non bacterial infectious (viral, ricketsial), non infectious (idiopathic, trauma, autoimmune) for epididymis may be amiodarone induced/associated with syndrome (Behcet)
