Question:

How do you calculate the probability that X lies between two values?

Author: Henriette Bergo

Answer:

1. Take each value and minus with the mean/expected value and then divide with standard deviation. Ex: x lies between 5 and 7 and st dev is 2 and mean is 5, 5-5/2 and 7-5/2. 2. Look up the values at the standard normal table. 3. Take each Z-score and subtract with the other Z-score.
