Explain Work is Done

When something moves, something else has to provide an effort to move it. That something that puts in the effort needs a supply of energy [Food or Coal.] It does the work by then moving the object and transfers the energy it gained from its supplier to other stores. When its transferred, work is done. They are the same thing.
