Question:
What do Florescent Tubes do to make Light?
Author: eric_galvaoAnswer:
-Fluorescent Tubes contain Mercury Vapour -Electrons are Accelerated through the Vapour, which Ionises some of the Mercury Atoms making more Free Electrons -When the Free Electrons Collide with Electrons in Mercury Atoms, it gets Excited to Higher Energy Levels -When they decide to drop Down, it emits UV Radiation -Then there is a Compound called Phosphor which simply Absorbs it, Has its Electrons become Excited, which will then therefore emit Visible Light in the EM Spectrum
