Question:

What can some of the Characteristics be in a GM Crop?

Author: eric_galvao

Answer:

-Insect-Resistant: In the Name really, this can Increase the Crop Yield as less is being Eaten / Infected. Also means Less Pesticides is Used -Virus-Resistant: Meaning that Diseases won't really Affect the Crops, so the Risk of Famine is Lower -Herbicide-Resistant: Farmers can just Dump it all over the Crop, and nothing will happen to it [Herbicides kill Weeds, but can affect Crops with no Resistance] -Adaptive to Extreme Weather: Allowing the Crops to be better Prepared can Increase the Crop Yield
