-Not now used as an analgesic- high bleed risk -Secondary prevention of cardiovascular events -Usually 75mg OD -If they are hypertensive- is a risk facotr for CVD -If they have angina/MI/stroke/PVD- they have established CVD --> would give aspirin 75mg daily -If they are at a high risk of GI bleed --> can add a maintenance dose of PPI
