-Immmunosupressant- DMARD -Used in IBS, autoimmune conditions, transplant patients -Can cause bone marrow supression, neutropenia -TPMT enzyme metabolises azathiopurine -Need to determine if they are fast/intermediate/slow TPMT metaboliser of azathioprine -In TPMT deficiency (reduced activity)- more likely to have neutropenia + azathioprine toxicity
