Inflammation of lymph nodes characterized by cortical/paracortical hyperplasia. Usually caused by acute infections (strep, staph most common/bartonella (cat-scratch)/tularemia (rabbits)) Most frequent presentation is enlarged tender nodes, site depends on nature of disease.
